The video game with the best soundtrack for me is probably WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008. I used to be obsessed with that game and the soundtrack has so many bangers. It's mainly composed of rock and metal songs. Famous by Puddle of Mudd. Well Enough Alone by Chevelle. Every time I listen to those songs I feel the nostalgia.
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland has one of my favorite soundtracks of all-time, and so "Sonic Reducer" by Saves The Day always stuck with me, and hits with a load of nostalgia every time I hear it pop up on the playlist.
Metal-wise, one of my favorites is 10's by Pantera. I'm a massive Dragon Ball fan, and listening to that song always reminds me of when I was 8 years old and discovered the Broly movie for the first time, watching Goku and my favorite heroes get absolutely demolished by the legendary demon Super Saiyan while 10's played in the background.
Getting access tons of games and their soundtracks from Humble Bundles in the 2010s meant songs like “Light Pollution” by Lifeformed—not at all a heavy song, though—have become all-time favorites.
For the request line? “Gigantic Parasite Tongue” by The Callous Daoboys—it took me a few listens to really come to grips with it, but now it might be my favorite song of theirs. I’ll recommend them to anyone who dares to give me the chance.
